Basic Eastern North Carolina Hot Vinegar Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 quarts cider vinegar
- 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 ounces crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all the ingredients together.

Use for basting a whole pig, and use unused sauce for serving with freshly pulled meat.
