Basic vinegar sauce with red pepper.

Basic Eastern North Carolina Hot Vinegar Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
  • 2 quarts cider vinegar
  • 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 ounces crushed red pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Use for basting a whole pig, and use unused sauce for serving with freshly pulled meat.
