North Carolina Piedmont Lexington-Style Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
- 10 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Pinch of crushed red pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to medium and stir until sugar dissolves.
